I do a LOT of writing and speaking on LEADERSHIP NOW. And I can tell you with absolute certainty… “Whenever there exists MANY WAYS to Do a THING, there must then also exist MANY WAYS to FAIL at that thing.” And so it is with Leadership.

Ours is an EMOTIONAL ECONOMY.

Make a Commitment to MINDSET!

One thing you’ll NEVER SEE at Disney is Mickey Mouse standing out by the front gate with his head hanging low complaining about Monday or wishing it was Friday!

That is an attitude that is PREVALENT in the marketplace. Selling professionals letting their attitude slip into the “negative is normal” quick sand of COMMON THINKERS. Instead of becoming an UNCOMMON THINKER. That is the mark of a true leader.

Does ATTITUDE matter when it comes to PROFITS?

And the answer is OF COURSE it does.

The NOW principle of WINNING is more than just a GOOD ATTITUDE, it’s a MINDSET. And that affects what you and I TALK ABOUT!

One thing you’ll never hear in Las Vegas or Atlantic City is how bad the economy is or other NEGATIVE NAY-SAYING…that’s not how they ATTRACT you and me.

Mindset is one of the RICH PRINCIPLES that Napoleon Hill revealed in his classic writings on UNCOMMON SUCCESS.

Mindset means taking your thoughts CAPTIVE and dialing up your mental state of mind much like you dial up a thermostat in your house or car to the DESIRED LEVEL.

That’s what LEADERS do better than most everyone else. They have this MILLION DOLLAR MINDSET that catapults them past all the mere mortals who are influenced by the negatives that surround us all every day.

 Another leadership principle is “The LAW of the DRESS REHEARSAL.”

Did you know there are parades going on at Disney World at 3am? Nobody in the park, you’re still asleep…

But these PERFORMERS cannot risk that tomorrow when you push through the front gate that someone doesn’t know where to stand or what to do when the SHOW opens.

They will be ready.

The pressing question for leaders is…

“WILL I BE READY?”

Will YOU be ready?

All leadership comes down to this:

Changing people's behavior…and often that can mean YOU GO FIRST.
